What is Infinite Packs?
Infinite Packs is an ethically-trained generative AI instrument reminiscent of samplers and drum machines. It generates all the sounds you need to create sample-based music, including songs, drums, noise, glitches, and percs, and organizes them onto a 16-pad instrument. Think of it as infinite raw material and design space for your creativity.
What data did you train on?
Infinite Packs was ethically trained on properly licensed music. Artist equity and ethical AI are core to our ethos. Check out our statement on the ethics of AI in music. We also co-founded ethicaluse.org to promote and ensure the ethical use of AI in creative fields.
How is this different from Emergent Drums 2?
ED2 focuses on finding the perfect drums for a song. Infinite Packs helps sample-based music creatives make full songs.
When will the alpha for Infinite Packs be done?
Typically, our web alphas last a few months or until we think it's ready to be a VST/AU.
Why is this a web alpha and not a VST/AU?
Launching on the web allows us to iterate faster than with C++ plugin code. The web is a safer environment for alpha software and is platform and DAW agnostic. We will launch a VST/AU version in the future.
What will the plugin cost when it's released?
We're still figuring this out, but it will likely be around $249. The price will increase as we get closer to launch.
When will the current price increase?
There's no set date yet, but we will raise the price as we get closer to launch.
Does this replace sound designers and sample packs?
Not at all. We work closely with sound designers. You can use this to make and sell sample packs. Our vision is to bring generative AI to your DAW, combining its power with your existing tools to create innovative sounds.
